Privacy policy

This policy covers tagsalefinds.com (“Tag Sale Finds”, “we”). For a less formal walk-through, see How it works.
Information we collect
Your account. Your email address, which is how you sign in, plus when your account was created and when you last signed in.
Your sales. What you enter about each sale: its name, dates, hours, address, phone number, and notes. Also your items, with their names, prices, notes, and photos.
Your time zone, read from your browser, so scheduled times happen when you intended.
Sign-in codes. When we email you a code, we store a one-way hash of it, its expiry time, and a count of codes sent so we can limit repeat requests.
One cookie. After you sign in we set a single cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Technical data. Like any website, the pages pass through our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which processes information such as your IP address to deliver them. We don't store IP addresses in our own records.
What's shown to the public
Once you put a sale online, anyone with the link can see:
- the sale name, dates, hours, and notes
- your phone number, if you entered one
- your items, with their prices and photos
- your street name and town, or your full address once you choose to show it
We never show your email address. Keep in mind that anything on a public page can be copied or screenshotted by the people who view it.
How we use it
We use your information to run the service, which means signing you in and showing your sale to shoppers the way you've set it up. If you write to us, we use your email address to reply. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Two service providers handle data on our behalf, only for these purposes:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores our database and your photos.
- Mailgun delivers sign-in code emails, so it receives your email address and the code.
We would also share information if the law required it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and sales until you ask us to delete them. Photos you remove, and items you delete, are deleted right away. Sign-in codes stop working after 15 minutes.
Deleting your information
Email help@tagsalefinds.com from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. We'll delete your account, your sales, your items, and your photos, and write back to confirm.
Security
The whole site uses HTTPS. Sign-in codes are stored only as hashes. The sign-in cookie can't be read by scripts on the page and is only sent over secure connections.
Children
Tag Sale Finds is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll email you first.
